About Jerome Rossen
Jerome Rossen is a composer, songwriter and professional musician. He creates music for television, film, video games, advertising, animation, concert, the internet and theater. He has performed and toured internationally with rock and jazz bands. Jerome was born in Akron, Ohio and has lived in New York City. Jerome holds a Bachelors of Music in Jazz piano performance from the University of North Texas.
New Music! There are some new tracks posted here. "Last Night for the Big Top" and "One More Time for the Home Crowd" are from the "Circus Suite" that I've started. Not quite sure how many pieces will be in the suite, but these two pieces share some of the same thematic material, so they must belong together!
We moved across the bridge to Mill Valley and I've moved into my new studio! It's about the same size as my SF studio though it feels larger. The ceilings are higher. You can hear how it sounds for yourself - "Natalia" was recorded here. If you listen really closely, you can hear the deer eating weeds in our yard.

"... we work with an AMAZING composer by the name of Jerome Rossen. He has the mutant ability to read my mind and know exactly the right type of music and tone that we're going for. He nails it on the head every time! And nailing things on the head is what we're all about here at Mondo.
As for his process, from what I understand Jerome uses both MIDI (which stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. It's software that allows a user to compose digital music and to reproduce the sound of musical instruments) and live instruments. He usually lays down a piano track first to get the theme. Jim Lively (our brilliant Sound Designer) and I will usually give him feedback based on that then he goes back in and either adds or replaces other instruments to get the full, gorgeous sound. All that AND he's a nice guy too!"
